Reticle XV Program Terms
These terms govern participation in Reticle XV (the "Program"), run by Reticle, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; where this page is silent, those govern.
You accept these terms when you submit an application at reticle.sh/xv.
What the Program is
Reticle XV selects up to fifteen companies. Selected companies get a Reticle Enterprise license at no cost for the Program, a startup license afterwards, and public marketing from us: a written case study, launch support, video, a place on the Program scoreboard, the private founder community, and introductions. In return, selected companies use Reticle against a real product and allow us to write about it.
Applying
- Applying costs nothing and creates no obligation on either side.
- Your application number is your position in the reading order. It is not a place in the fifteen, and it does not reserve one.
- We select at our sole discretion and may decline any application without giving a reason. We may also select fewer than fifteen companies, or close applications at any time.
- You confirm the information you give us is accurate and that you have authority to enter your company into the Program.
Marketing and publicity
This is the part the checkbox on the application form is about. By applying and by taking part, you grant Reticle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, for the duration of the Program and afterwards, to:
- use your company name, product name, logo, and brand assets to identify you as a Program participant;
- publish and promote case studies, articles, posts, videos, screenshots, and social content about your company, your product, and your use of Reticle;
- quote statements you give us in writing, in interviews, or on calls recorded with your knowledge;
- publish results produced by Reticle against your application, such as flows verified, defects found, and scoreboard standings;
- keep published material online after the Program ends, and continue to reference your participation.
Your protections, which we consider part of the deal:
- You approve the case study. No case study, launch post, or video about you is published until you have seen it and signed it off in writing. If you do not approve a draft, it does not publish.
- We never publish your source code, your customer data, or anything Reticle reads inside your application, unless you specifically approve that item.
- You can withdraw consent for future publication at any time by emailing hey@reticle.sh. We will stop publishing new material about you. Material already published, printed, or distributed may remain, because we cannot recall it.
- Nothing here transfers ownership of your trademarks, brand, or product. You keep all of it.
You grant us nothing beyond what is written above.
What we ask of participants
- Run Reticle against a genuine product, not a demo repository built for the Program.
- Take part in a short call at the start and at the end, and answer us in the shared channel when we ask.
- Do not misrepresent what Reticle did or did not do for you. We will not misrepresent it either.
Licenses and cost
- The Enterprise license granted for the Program is free of charge, for your team, for the Program period, and is governed by our Terms of Service.
- The startup license offered afterwards is a commercial license at the price quoted to you at that time. Nothing here obliges you to buy it.
- Places in the Program are not for sale, cannot be transferred, and have no cash value.
Your data
Applications reach us as an email to the founders and nowhere else: there is no application database, and what you send is processed in line with our Privacy Policy. We use what you send to assess your application, to run the Program, and to contact you about it. Application details of companies we do not select are not published.
Ending participation
Either side may end participation at any time, in writing. We may end it immediately if a participant misrepresents their product, publishes false claims about Reticle, or behaves in a way that damages other participants. Ending participation stops the free license and stops future publication; it does not undo material already published.
No partnership
The Program does not create an employment relationship, a partnership, a joint venture, or an agency between you and Reticle. Neither side may enter into obligations on the other's behalf.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to participants and posted here with a new date at the top. Continuing in the Program after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
